Blessed Again...

I am just so thankful for each and every photo we are blessed with of our little boy.  When we adopted Brinley in 2005 we received an update days before we left for China. She was not a happy camper in those photos and we wondered what her personality would be like.  In 2007 we were blessed to receive a few photos of Bailey from families who traveled to the orphanage and we still cherish every single one of them!

This morning I found 3 new photos of John Wesley and 2 videos in an email. We received them through Angela at LadybugsNLove.com.  This is the second time Angela has been able to get photos of our little one.  She was also able to get some information about him for us.

According to the new update our boy is potty trained!

Praise the Lord!!!

I don't say this because I don't want to bother with diapers. That isn't it at all. With him having spina bifida we didn't know if he might be incontinent.  There still may be issues but this is a good report to receive! :)

(You can see his friend Tegan over his left shoulder.  Tegan is coming home soon to a family that can't wait to put a smile on his sweet face!  :)

John Wesley might be potty trained .....but he still drinks a bottle. :) 

 I'm glad because feeding him his bottle is wonderful for bonding even if it is only for a short time.

He knows we are coming for him soon and "he is very happy".

We asked if he has had any recent illnesses.  He has not but his caregiver is concerned about his right foot lacking strength.  The video does show him turning  his foot and also having a little bit of trouble standing up.  

He does not have a favorite toy and he plays well with everyone in his group.

We asked what makes him sad. "When he gets punished or limit his activities or don't let him play with other children he will be upset."

Does he like to be held? YES.  :)
