LID!!!!!

Just got our LID.....it is TODAY!!! :)  OH HAPPY DAYS!!!

Yesterday was the big day we have been waiting for!!!  Praise the Lord!! Our paperwork is on it's way to China.  I was told yesterday that we should travel in 4-6 months.  :)  I'm praying for 3!! LOL

Found this cute photo of John Wesley in our orphanage group.  Time is going by so slowly because I want him home but quickly too because every day is one day we are not with him.  I think his little friend is trying to help him with his shoes. So sweet!

I entered his height and weight on a growth chart last night.  He's not even on the chart for children his age. He is the size of a 16-18 month old little boy.  I think some of the clothes I've picked up for him might fit next year! ;)

Sadness

I just read something from another mom who adopted a child from John Wesley's orphanage.  She was told "Don't feed her so much and you won't have to change diapers so much."  Breaks my heart that our baby is there.

This family found out that their child is much younger than the records indicate. I have a feeling we will be finding the same thing to be true for John John.

Documents Are HOME!

Wooo HOOO!!!

17 lovely stamped, signed, sealed and bound documents made their way back to us today!  Tomorrow we will send them to our agency!!   We will be DTC soon!!!

Documents To DC!!

All of our paperwork went to the courier today!!!  I thought it was going Friday. I went to get a few things at WalMart so I bought the money order there. Left to go to the shipping place down the road.  Thought I'd better double check with the courier to see if the Chinese Embassy takes all money orders.  Nope.  She's pretty sure only bank money orders and postal money orders.  Went back to the WalMart  to get a refund.  The rain started POURING down.  Drove back to the shipping place. Waited on the rain to slow up then I ran for the door.  Just as I got there I saw the sign "We DO NOT sell MONEY ORDERS".    I thought, "Okay, God.  I give.  I'm going home.  I'll try again tomorrow."  Saturday we had a lot going on. Marty picked up a money order when he went to town.  I got the girls ready to go and we started out for the UPS store. Talked to my husband on the cell phone and he said he was almost back to our house. Turned around and went back and stopped to pick up my MIL who had gone with my husband to buy a tractor. (Why does an 83 year old lady need a tractor??)  Took her back to her house across the street from our house.  She couldn't get her door unlocked.  She tried and tried and couldn't get it open.    Then she said "Oh well, I left the back door unlocked.  I'll go around."    Okay.  So now the girls and I headed out for the UPS store  again.  We made it there pretty quickly.  Turned in and saw the sign by the door.  "CLOSED".  They closed at 1.  We got there at 1:19.    Okay, God.  It doesn't go today.  All in Your time!   


TODAY......I sent it from the FedEx store.  WHEW!!!!

.......and let me tell  you, handing over those documents that took so long to collect is NOT EASY either!
