Today, we went to John John's first orthopedic appointment. On the way he was watching Go Diego Go and making all of the animal noises. He is so cute when he watches his little videos! He loves Diego and Elmo. (He still likes Pleasant Goat too.)
The ortho doc says John does not have a club foot. Instead he has vertical talus, his right leg is about a centimeter shorter than his left leg and his spine is just slightly curved. His spine could be this way because of his shorter leg. Time will tell. The doctor is sending him to occupational therapy and to be fitted for an AFO. He goes back in four months to see where we go from there. We may be looking at casting and surgery. I am hoping to talk to some other parents who have children with vertical talus. If you know of anyone, send them my way! :)

Hi! Please keep us updated on the bone scan stuff and updating John's birthdate! We adopted a little boy from China last March whom we thought was also much younger than 4 and we'd also like to investigate a bone scan. Keep us posted!
