Remember when we received the 3 second video of John Wesley back at the beginning of June? I was so dog-gone excited about that 3 seconds of bliss that I totally and COMPLETELY missed that this wonderful family also sent us an adorable photo and some precious information about our sweet boy. I found it last night when I went to my email to find the address of the family. To say I was ecstatic.....and grateful... is an understatement.
This photo absolutely makes me want to reach out and just pick him up and kiss those baby cheeks! Doesn't he look like he is just about to grin about something silly? Here is what this family had to share about John John:
"Hi Sharon!
YES! We did see your son today!!! We not only saw him, but got some pictures and
video clips. He is very cute!! Diana probably told you this already, but your
son is the favorite of Miss L_____-one of the officials at the orphanage. He came
right over to us initially, but was sad and kind of pouting because he was
missing a cookie time. Later when we saw him, he was quite interactive, and by
the end of our visit, he was trying to pull our cameras down to get a
better look at his photos : ) LOL! He was one of the animated and energetic
kids in the group. He was able to get staff attention through his emotional
expressions whether it was the pouting or the silly, goofy side of his
personality. We may have more pictures when we sort through the loads we have.
If so, I will send them later. Here is one to get you started! : ) I know we
have more on the other camera!"
oh. my. goodness. I have read this description over and over and I love every word of it! He sounds scrumptious! This wait is not getting any easier! Praying he will be home by the end of the year. His birthday is coming up soon. His very last birthday without a family of his own.
The fundraisers are going well but we still have a long, long way to go.

what a cutie! i remember seeing stephanie's nihao y'all blog and thinking, "maybe if we adopt again we'll ask specifically for a boy." what i didn't know is that God had already prepared a boy for our family... and he was waiting on his perfect timing for the reveal! so grateful for you and your love for john wesley already! praying with and for you for God's prefect timing.
ReplyDeleteSharon, What a joy! This is the cutest little thing.... I pray God will give you peace as you wait. Makes me glad that our son is aging out. I couldn't stand a longer wait than we already have! lol I got some photos of our son's orphanage, lots of them, but none of him yet... still searching. Praying for your fundraisers! Angie
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to get an update! He sounds like such an enthusiastic little guy:) There is a family traveling right now where our little one is from and we're hoping to get an update too! Blessings to you and hoping for speedy travels to John Wesley!
ReplyDeleteYea! Another great photo. I am so grateful to S. for taking the time to videotape and photograph our kiddos. He has the best expressions, I love his cheeks.

ReplyDeleteAwww...cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's Kelly from We Are Grafted In. I've still got you listed on the fundraising families' page. Are you still fundraising? Looks like you are, but wanted to confirm.
We just today opened an etsy store for The Sparrow Fund (www.sparrow-fund.org), the nonprofit that my husband and I launched this past spring. We have a handful of items we are going to add to the store this weekend, but we're looking for more donations of handcrafted items or fundraising items (such as shirts or other merchandise) to help us raise money. For items donated, we will provide a link back to your site so that you can advertise and draw new customers/donors. Think about it, and let me know if you would like to donate anything!
Thanks!
